We possess an EQA, which was stationed in multiple parking facilities. At a certain moment, my wife observed that someone had collided with the front of the vehicle. However, the specifics of location and timing remain unknown. I did not configure the Mercedes-Me application and therefore did not, of course, remit payment for the collision functionalities. I require information regarding the time the incident transpired. I communicated with the Mercedes garage, and they informed me that I could only ascertain the incident's timing if I had the app configured and had paid for the necessary features. Is this correct? I anticipated that the vehicle could simply be connected to the Mercedes computer, allowing them to provide a timestamp of when the incident transpired. However, they assert that the computer indicates a negative response! Is this accurate? Assistance would be valued, as the damage is expected to amount to £3,000 or £4,000, jeopardising our no-claims status and increasing the premium. The majority of locations where the vehicle was present are equipped with surveillance cameras. I appreciate it.

Are you referring to "Valet Protect"? If that is the case, to my knowledge, it is complimentary for the initial three years. Why on earth did you fail to establish Mercedes Me?

I lack a conclusive response, yet I recommend seeking a nearby independent expert equipped with an authentic MB STAR diagnostic computer who is proficient in its operation, and then request them to connect it to the vehicle for inspection. You are likely to achieve a superior and more economical outcome than visiting the dealership.

As previously stated, nearly all remote services are complimentary for the initial three years.
I suspect that collision detection merely transmits an alert to the Mercedes Me application, activating a notification on your mobile device. I once received a (false) notification on my device, but I currently cannot find any record of it.

Collision detection is included in the standard alarm features, at least on our C Class. Valet Protect alerts you if the vehicle moves beyond a predetermined distance from its parked location, or optionally, when the engine is ignited or turned off.

I just examined Mercedes Me closely and, to my surprise, I found "Collision Detect.

Thank you, that was a beneficial response; I made a call, but it was unfeasible and costly for a day out. Interestingly, while I was driving the courtesy vehicle, I was parked at a train station when someone collided with me—I obtained their details this time.
