Greetings everyone, After starting up, turning on the heater, lights, etc., and moving approximately 10 feet, I experienced a severe misfire. Like my Greyhound eats his dinner, the battery charger is tucked in, but there are no codes.

Week 47 in 2012, then. Am I hearing something?

That is quite remarkable. Because of the severe weather, batteries in Texas don't last more than five years.

Certainly not a record, but it does demonstrate how long a genuine Mercedes battery can last. I'd be surprised if you got the same amount of life from other popular brands of batteries, like Bosch or Varta, even though the Mercedes battery is from Varta. The fact that Mercedes experts recommend getting a new battery from the factory is, in my opinion, not a coincidence.
Getting 14 years of use out of a single battery is quite impressive.

Can you tell me if you're in Newark, England, or Newark, Joisey?

The original battery is still attached to my 2012 MB.

UK. The battery is not located in the engine compartment, and our weather is not as severe.

With fourteen years and no breakdown, I'm satisfied.

At the time of its first battery replacement last year, my wife's A Class had racked up 88,000 miles on the clock and was 19 years old (56 plate). After fourteen years and ninety-seven thousand miles, my E 212 finally needed a new battery two years ago.

My only observation is that your battery bears US markings, which I have never seen on one of these before.
