The auditory functionality of my satellite navigation system has ceased subsequent to the most recent over-the-air software communication upgrade. Are there any other methods for restoring it apart from visiting the authorized dealership? The 2020 W167 GLE SUV model.

The GLB OTA Updates often go unnoticed until their completion, since there is often no indication of their progress or completion. Additionally, I have never seen the presence of a "Close" Caption or received prior notification that the software would be triggered after the vehicle has been turned down.
I would recommend that the individual consider seeing the authorized dealer as a prudent course of action prior to any more complications arising.

Similar improvements to the communications module were implemented in both 2021 and 2022. There is no apparent correlation between the aforementioned factor and the production of audio output for navigation purposes. It is presumed that the user has verified that the volume level has not been inadvertently reduced and that other audio sources, such as the radio, are functioning properly.

All other audio features have been verified and found to be functioning properly, and all other potential causes have been thoroughly investigated. It is possible that a corrupt download has occurred, necessitating a reinstallation. Consequently, a visit to the Mercedes-Benz dealer is advisable.

The existing installation of Map 2019 V 10.2 needs be updated to the latest version, which is 2023 V19. It seems that the software upgrade has caused the map to return to a previous version, resulting in the absence of voice directions.
