Greetings, everyone.

The 2010 W212 E Class vehicle has a comprehensive range of features pertaining to its windscreen. These include active cruise control, a night vision camera, lane departure warning system, active high beam functionality, heated glass for the camera, condensation detection, rain detection, and several other possibilities.

The glass in question is the original piece, indicating that it has been in use for a period of 13 years or more. There are little fragments present in several locations.

I recently saw an impact mark on the bottom portion of the glass, namely on the transition area from clear to black. Approximately one week later, there was a significant rainfall event.

Currently, there are instances of water infiltration occurring at the upper portion of the window. Water has infiltrated the cabin via many entry points, including the headlining, light cluster, satnav screen, and camera housing. The alarm that I have set has been activated. The moisture has been removed using manual means, and now, there is adhesive tape used to bridge the space between the body and the glass. This vehicle is stationary, since I am not using it during inclement weather conditions characterised by heavy rainfall.

Correlation may not be causation re: the bullseye. However, I attempted to get a new screen via my insurance, only to discover that no suppliers currently had any glass in their inventory.

Upon doing a thorough manual search, it is evident that there is a scarcity of "new" W212 glass available in stock. Furthermore, the specific version that I want seems to be very rare, comparable to the scarcity of chickens' teeth or rocking horse faeces.

In the event that I am able to locate the appropriate replacement, it is worth noting that a majority of glass replacement establishments may not be equipped to provide the necessary fitting services. Additionally, it is important to note that automobiles often need extensive post-fitment calibration.

The sunroof drains are often the primary source of concern in this scenario. I would find it very improbable for the screen to be the source of the issue since it is in its original state, has never been removed, and exhibits no indications of delamination or blooming along the upper edge. However, if the problem is resolved by applying tape to the top edge of the screen, it would suggest that the tape is the underlying reason.

If performed with caution, it may be feasible to extract the glass and then reseal it; nevertheless, it is advisable to consult a glass expert (rather than Autoglass or similar services) because to the associated risks, such as the possibility of fracture.

Approximately 2 million units of the E-Class 212 series were sold. Given the limited manufacturing quantity and subsequent lack of availability, it is unsurprising that there are no readily accessible replacement goods for often used components (sarcasm intended).

Could you please provide information about sunroof drains? I do not own a sunroof. Do all individuals possess those? I am in favour of a simple solution.
I have refrained from repeating the action of driving in a deluge subsequent to the act of recording, since the combination of rain and wind results in the upward movement of water on the vehicle's windscreen towards the designated channels. Furthermore, the act of braking causes the water to flow back down into these channels.

In the event that the screen chips undergo an abrupt transition into a crack, it is worth noting that the insurance policy covering the glass cover will provide coverage for such an occurrence.

Therefore, it may be inferred that the other features on the automobile are not fully included by the aforementioned alternatives.

Approximately one month ago, I received a new screen for my W212 from MB, which was delivered within a few days. I am astonished by the rapidity with which circumstances have undergone significant transformations.

Apologies for the mistake in my previous post.

The phrase used was "all of the available alternatives." Regarding the windscreen, it is important to note that not all of the available solutions should be considered.

It is evident that you possessed the last one. According to National Windscreens, they currently do not have the requested item in stock and have therefore placed an order with MB to fulfil the backorder. Approximately three to four weeks have elapsed since that time.
