Is there a lack of gearbox service records over the course of many years? Please schedule a gearbox servicing as soon as possible.

The 722.9 gearbox box does not have a dipstick. Instead, the gearbox fluid is filled from below via the sump plug.
In the absence of any diagnostic codes, my course of action would include seeking the services of an independent professional to do the necessary gearbox oil and filter maintenance.

The automobile was taken to the Mercedes Wakefield dealership last month. It was said that there are no issues with the software, however, an update was performed to ensure that the programme is running on the latest version, since it was initially installed with the 2015 software version. It has been observed that a software modification was implemented over the period from late 2015 to 2016 in response to issues related to hesitant and cumbersome gear shifts.
It seems that the most of the reluctance and juddering difficulties that I previously had have been resolved.
It has been observed that the engine tends to maintain a little higher idle speed and begins downshifting at an earlier stage in order to prevent excessive decrease in revolutions per minute (RPM).
The oil level was determined to be OK, no error codes were detected in the gearbox, and it seems that the problem has been resolved.
