I have made an additional payment of £310 to have access to the DISTRONIC functions. The photograph shows the presence of a limiter button, although it remains unclear as to how one might activate the cruise control function. I was able to successfully initiate the operation on one occasion; but, due to my advanced age in the septuagenarian range, I have significant difficulty in simultaneously operating the vehicle and using the controls. I conducted an online search using the Google search engine, however, the results were outdated postings that only displayed past steering wheel configurations. In order to activate the Cruise function, one must first manipulate the lower spoke by upwardly flicking the rocker located on the leftmost side. The speed restriction is engaged by depressing the downward button.
Subsequently, use the centre one as a means to establish your desired velocity. The starting direction may be either upward or downward, followed by an upward movement for increased speed or a downward movement for decreased speed.
To disengage the cruise control function, the appropriate action is to downwardly toggle the designated rocker switch (or alternatively, depress the brake pedal). Conversely, to reinstate the previously established desired cruising speed, the recommended course of action is to upwardly toggle the aforementioned switch.

I appreciate your response; but, I find myself quite perplexed. You mentioned the action of flicking the left upper up, which is intended to adjust the adaptive cruise control distance between my car and the one ahead. This has left me feeling uncertain and apologetic for my confusion.

The 2019 C Class model is equipped with an on-board manual that can be viewed via the car's screen. Therefore, it is reasonable to infer that a 2023 CLA model would likely include a similar functionality.
