Apologies if it is considered impolite to initiate a new discussion while there is already an ongoing one, but I am unable to locate the previous topic in which I last participated.
After a recent map update, maybe accompanied by a system upgrade, I had the issue of losing the split screen feature. Previously, the split screen was divided into three halves.
An individual in the previous discussion proposed a method to reinstate it, but, I had difficulties in achieving successful implementation. Indeed, it is rather a challenging task to figure out how to do that.
I found myself trapped in a perplexing and intricate path, resulting in a futile first effort and a subsequent inability to retrace my steps.
A significant obstacle is the lack of real-time visibility into the outcomes of your actions, necessitating the need to set the automobile in motion to assess the effectiveness of any modifications. I successfully accessed a menu (without disclosing the method), but it seems to be unfeasible to eliminate the map. Consequently, while using the satellite navigation system, two maps with distinct perspectives remain simultaneously displayed. Tick boxes are provided for the clock and the date, but selecting or deselecting them does not seem to have any effect - both the clock and the date still remain at the top. The 'Eco' choice for battery charging status is redundant, since it is a static feature shown on the panel behind the steering wheel. I am certain that the advise provided in the previous discussion was, however improbable, to go through the phone's menu, despite my inability to find any relevant options. Who is willing to provide an infallible and foolproof manual on how to do this task?
The infotainment screen has been divided into several sections after the system upgrade.

As far as I understand, once an update has been implemented, it cannot be uninstalled. You may need to acclimatise yourself to it.

It is not possible to get the 3 screen version.
You are currently viewing just two screens.
Reverting to a previous stage.
Is your phone linked to the head unit?
Split screen functionality with anti-aliasing (AA) is distinct from split screen functionality with Kia navigation. Please choose the top option in the menu for AA and the bottom option for Kia.

Unfamiliar with the concept of Android Auto, I chose to enable split screen mode, although I suspect it was already active on Android Auto.
I dislike the persistent selection of the Map option. I will do a trial with AA, but I am sceptical about its potential distinctiveness. I connected my phone to the headset via Bluetooth, however I am uncertain of the exact reason of doing so. If it is determined that you were using your phone at the time of the accident, even if it was via a hands-free device, your insurance coverage would be rendered void. Typically, I keep my phone on quiet mode when driving. There is no task or matter that is urgent or cannot be postponed.
I understand that you have the ability to switch displays rapidly by just pressing one of the physical buttons. If the system had been upgraded prior to my purchase of the vehicle, I would not have given it any more consideration. It seems to be another instance of the prevalent tendency among programmers to compulsively modify something that functions flawlessly, ultimately resulting in its deterioration.

There is a lack of factual information or proof despite the presence of many opinions.

Using a hands-free phone is not against the law. If an insurance company were to reject a claim, the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) would thoroughly scrutinise and criticise them.
AA stands for Android Auto.
In mid-2021, the 3 black/white screens were replaced with 2 purple screens.
