Apologies for any errors I lack expertise in automobiles, but I need advise that I can relay to my mechanic.
I own a Kia Ceed CRDI 1.6 diesel automatic vehicle from the 69 plate.
On Christmas day, the automobile displayed a warning indicating a low level of adblue. Simply a concise and direct statement.
After putting the adblue to the right tank on boxing day, we briefly drove the vehicle to complete the registration process. Although we were not travelling at a high velocity, some 10 minutes after arriving home, the engine suddenly stopped functioning as we were preparing to reverse up our driveway. It has not started thereafter. The RAC reported a gasoline pump problem and advised taking the vehicle to a mechanic.
We had scheduled an appointment for the 9th at a nearby automotive workshop, and they contacted us to inform that they are unable to diagnose the issue with the vehicle. They have exhausted all evident troubleshooting methods and have reached the limit of their capabilities. Furthermore, I was advised to bring it to an authorised dealership.
Is there anybody who can suggest a potential reason for this issue, other than the apparent one where the engine cranks but fails to start?
I have never had a situation when a garage refused to provide service to me. Thank you in advance
The Kia Ceed is experiencing a problem where it does not start, and nobody has been able to find a solution.

I lack any prior knowledge with KIA diesel engines, but I am optimistic that someone with such expertise will soon provide guidance. Meanwhile, I will inquire about the apparent: is the warranty for your 2019 Ceed still in effect (while it is relatively new, it does not guarantee warranty coverage)? If the issue pertains to a fuel pump malfunction, it should be covered under warranty.
Furthermore, have you lately replenished your gasoline supply?

The warranty is void. Regrettably, the previous owner neglected to get the vehicle serviced, despite us being informed at the time of purchase that it had a complete service history. I believe that a Kia dealership will impose a substantial fee to resolve the issue, however I am willing to pursue this alternative if necessary.
When the fuel pump is bridged out, it indicates that the fuel is not being delivered to the engine. However, I am uncertain about the specific tests conducted at the prior shop. The only person who has communicated with me is the receptionist, who was unable to provide me with any specific information.
The automobile has been in our possession for barely 4 months, and the warranty provided by the garage expired after 3 months.

Regarding GTX 300's inquiry, did you recently replenish the fuel supply before to experiencing the problem? The first step in examining a diesel breakdown is to unscrew the cap and directly inhale the fumes. This 1-minute check yields results more often than you may expect. It would be quite disheartening if both the RAC and the garage overlooked it, although unusual occurrences have occurred in the past.
In addition, which tank level does the instrument cluster indicate with the addition of blue?
If the item is still covered by warranty, it is advisable to bring it to the garage and let them to handle the matter. Although your service history may be somewhat irregular, if you can provide evidence of timely fuel filter replacements according to the maintenance plan, the fuel pump and system should be included in the coverage.
Best wishes

I last refuelled on Saturday, December 23rd, and thereafter travelled around 90+ miles throughout the course of Saturday and Sunday. The RAC technician made more adjustments on Tuesday in case the gauge was inaccurate, but no changes occurred.
The adblue tank indicates a nearly full level, and the warning disappeared after adding adblue. Furthermore, the countdown feature has not been activated since we replenished it the next day.
Thank you, the appointment is scheduled for Wednesday, so I hope it will be included in the coverage.

Excellent, you have made a reservation with the official dealership. Observe the situation: due to extensive supervision from the main corporation, the majority of these garages are only focused on providing you with the greatest service. If your repair is denied due to lack of service history, I strongly recommend filing a complaint with customer support over the missed service. Fuel filters on diesel Kia vehicles should be updated every 2 to 3 years, depending on the kind of service plan (high or low mileage schedule). In any case, what I am attempting to propose is that if you have not neglected a gasoline filter replacement service, then the fuel system should be included under warranty. If you have not changed the oil every year, they cannot legitimately deny you an electrical fault. Similarly, if your fuel system fault is not reliant on fresh oil for its maintenance, they cannot legitimately reject it. Throughout my experience working in primary dealer networks, I have seen that persistent clients, albeit typically courteous (though some not at all), have managed to have their repairs done despite having substandard service records. In my perspective, the key lies in possessing the knowledge of effective communication techniques and identifying the appropriate individuals to engage with. Typically, if you assert yourself with sufficient force and choose the appropriate words, it compels them to consider the legal implications of their actions. Furthermore, it is advisable to demonstrate good faith by scheduling your next servicing with the garage that assists you, particularly for items that are still covered by warranty. There is no need to do any tasks beyond the recommended service provided by the garage. However, maintaining an in-house Kia service history may greatly benefit goodwill repairs.
Was the service that was missing throughout the year affected by the COVID-19 pandemic? This additional factor would contribute to addressing any grievance.

I am very grateful. I will certainly continue to avail myself of the services provided at a Kia garage. It is advisable to submit it to them since they are more likely to possess superior expertise in resolving the issue compared to an independent local garage.

Indeed, as with any garages, there exist both commendable and subpar establishments. It is certain that primary dealers possess an extensive array of specialised instruments and comprehensive assistance. If all the stamps in your book are Kia stamps, then I believe you won't have any issues about the service that was missed during the COVID year. Particularly if it has only been driven for 500 miles within that year. Best wishes for success

Based on my own experience with a Ceed, I suggest that you activate the ignition and check for the presence of the immobiliser icon. This symbol is represented by a yellow automobile with a key in the middle. If this indicator is not displayed, it is likely that the absence of it is the cause of your issue. As I previously said, what I am about to say is only a conjecture based on my own experience. Wishing you success.
