Occasionally, I use a trickle charger to replenish the car battery when it becomes depleted.
Lately, the automobile emits a beeping sound for around 10 or 20 seconds. This sound is not similar to a genuine alarm's blaring or shrieking, but rather a digital-sounding beep. Additionally, it seems that the indicators flash during this time. The occurrence is sporadic, taking place while the automobile is stationary, often during the late hours of the night, emitting a sound of sufficient volume to rouse me from sleep.
I first hypothesised that the battery drainage would be the cause, however I have seen that the issue occurs even when the battery is fully charged or being charged.
It seems to be a subtle cautionary message
The occurrence ceases after a duration of 10 or 20 seconds, and may resume either a few minutes or a few hours thereafter.
Additionally, the beeping ceases if I use the keyfob to unlock the vehicle and then lock it again.
Do you have any insights on the underlying causes of this phenomenon?
Thank you.
