Greetings, everyone.
I just brought my 2013 R8 in for its 80,000-mile service and received a bill that beyond my expectations. I would really appreciate your knowledgeable thoughts on a few things that I have been charged for, so that I can determine whether the amount is accurate or if there are any unnecessary charges.
Front lower arm control assembly Is the price per unit 681 GBP? The total cost for two items is 1363 GBP, excluding work charges.
Requesting a quotation for gearbox oil. The price is 557 GBP for a quantity of 10 litres.
The price for the Coolant Tank and Cap is 583 GBP.
I would much appreciate any comments and views.
Thank you!
Am I being treated unfairly?

We can provide these components at a lower cost and we often deliver to the United Arab Emirates. Additionally, we may suggest workshops. Kindly transmit a private message to us. Are you currently located in Dubai or Abu Dhabi?

Is this the coolant reservoir located in the engine compartment? I assume Audi was rectifying the issue via a recall process.

Greetings
There has never been a recall attributed to a faulty coolant tank.
Audi instructed to install the tension band at the next service.
A faulty container will be exchanged as a goodwill gesture.

Goodwill, no. The design is subpar. Indeed, it was formally referred to as a "service action". However, this is just the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) attorneys persuading the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in the United States that it should not be categorised as a complete "recall". Fortunately, during my tenure in OEM automotive, I never saw any instances when a component I created required a recall or campaign. I just had one TSB without any consequences. The procedure with the attorneys was lengthy.

In 2013, I shipped my faulty container to the Audi manufacture and personally engaged in a direct conversation with the designer on this issue. (During that period, I was employed at VW Wob.) There was speculation that the containers would be replaced as a kind act if any harm were to occur.
The steel clamp proved to be the optimal answer, since the corresponding component number was promptly shown in ETKA upon entering my chassis number. (during a timeframe of 2-3 years) I lack a steel clamp since I possess an alternative method to eliminate any flaws in the container.
