Recent acquisition: automobile-specific hoover

I had a Dysan rechargeable cordless hoover cleaner specifically designed for autos, and it functioned well. However, the battery capacity was only sufficient for cleaning one and a half automobiles, which I found frustrating while attempting to clean both my car and my spouse's car.

Residing in a London apartment, using our Henry or Dyson vacuum cleaner with a lengthy extension chord via the window is only practical when a vacant parking spot is conveniently located just in front of our building, making it an unsatisfactory alternative.

I opted for a retro-style 12V corded vacuum cleaner that resembles a cigarette lighter. This feature enables me to clean the automobiles at a leisurely pace, albeit it requires the engine to remain operational. Additionally, these corded models are more cost-effective compared to their cordless counterparts.

After doing a brief web search, the Black & Decker product emerged as the top choice.



An order was made with Amazon Prime this morning at 10:27 AM.

The package was delivered around 6:37 PM this evening.

I have never had same-day delivery before. I am quite content

Regrettably, I must admit that those inexpensive portable hoover cleaners have consistently failed to meet my expectations. Typically, they see a rapid decline in suction power. May you have more favourable outcomes than I have.

When I used the 240V vacuums on the automobile, they were far more powerful than the handheld portable Dysan.

Regarding longevity, only time will determine the outcome.

However, I concluded that given the price of less than 40 pounds, it would be prudent to give it a chance.

I own a Porter Cable 20V Max vacuum cleaner. It operates using the Porter Cable battery system. I am aware that Makita, Dewalt, and similar brands provide comparable products. If you are using battery-operated instruments from a certain system, it would be advisable to investigate the offerings they provide.

I chose the B&D model since I wanted a practical cordless option at that moment. However, after using it a few times, I made the decision to purchase the Dyson vehicle accessories pack specifically designed for use with my Dyson Cordless V8. The V8 has exceptional suction performance and a prolonged battery life, making it capable of handling several vehicles.

B&D - Feedback:

It is convenient that I did not need to bring an extension wire from home. However, I now have to deal with the cigarette lighter cable, which I entirely forgot about when I purchased the B&D.
The device will draw power from your vehicle's battery, requiring you to either start and drive the automobile or risk depleting the battery.
The suction is satisfactory when powered by the battery, but the performance is noticeably enhanced while the vehicle is driving.
Now I need to dispose of this B&D.

I use the cordless Dyson vacuum cleaner to clean our living space. I consistently do the tasks I need to, and as a result, the inside of the automobile remains rather clean.

Overall I am quite satisfied with the product. It is compact and lightweight, including a flexible hose and an exceptionally long power chord. The product is ergonomically well-designed and has two types of heads: a long and narrow head, as well as a shorter brush head.

The suction capability is commendable and comparable to the portable Dysan (although I did not anticipate it to match the power of my 240V machines, naturally).

The dust chamber may be easily separated from the main body, which houses the motor and electrical components. This allows for the whole compartment, including the filter, to be taken out and cleaned by washing it under running water.

The only aspect I failed to thoroughly contemplate is that it is OK to use it while the engine is running when I return from a drive and the engine is already warm. However, if the vehicle is parked in front of the home with a cold engine, it is not advisable to let a cold engine idle for 15-20 minutes.

However, other from that... this is an excellent little device.
