An EV9 vehicle is emitting loud honking sounds without any apparent cause.

Greetings, I just acquired a new Kia EV9. Yesterday, I inadvertently left my children locked inside the vehicle for a brief period of two minutes while I went to the shop. Unexpectedly, the car began emitting honking sounds autonomously. After unlocking the vehicle, I proceeded to lock it again, which caused it to emit a honking sound once again. Could someone provide guidance on the reason for this behaviour and the steps to disable it?

Thank you.

Presumably, the antitheft mechanism has an internal sensor.

Thank you. Do you believe it is possible for me to get that function deactivated?

There should be an inbuilt motion sensor, which can be temporarily deactivated, however I suspect it is currently hidden inside the menus. Apologies, it is necessary to allocate time for reading the handbook. ;)

I was aware of its existence, but I couldn't recall its specific name. Happy face emoji. Please note that the system resets when you unlock or open the vehicle door.

Did you confine your children inside a vehicle?
