It seems to be more affordable than it was 15 years ago! Upon my oldest daughter's successful completion of her test at the age of 17, the most affordable insurance quotation I could get amounted to £1800. Did this price pertain to a Mercedes SLR? Incorrect, the car in question was a 1995 Nissan Micra with a 1.0L engine. However, there was a condition attached to the situation. If she did not need to make or have a claim against her, I received a return check for £600. I have received my payment in the form of a check.
