I recently acquired a 330e, an electric vehicle with a 22 plate and M Sport features. I immediately noticed that all the tyres have the same size, which is different from my previous M Sports that had a staggered setup. As a result, the rear tyres appear slightly stretched, with the rim extending beyond the tyre, as shown in the bottom photo. The first photograph shows the front side.

Does it imply that the width of the wheels is greater in the rear? Is it uncommon to have all four tyres of the same size, and are the rear tyres safe?

In my opinion, the ideal tyre sizes for the front and rear should be 225/45/18 and 255/40/18 respectively. Exercise caution while using Roadx tyres since they are inexpensive and rudimentary, resulting in subpar performance in wet conditions.

The dimensions of the tyres are 224/40/19 and 255/35/19.

Yes, it is accurate. The diameters of the tyres are different, resulting in a slightly higher profile (45) on the front tyres.
Do Roadx tyres vary in their manufacturing process by not include rim protection?

Inspect the back of the wheels - you will see that the front wheels have a width of 7.5 inches, while the rear wheels have a width of 8.5 inches. Refer to the final two photographs in this offering for visual confirmation.

Cease any further contemplation on the RoadX tyres. Dispose of them and replace them with a high-quality set of 255/40R18 tyres.

The profile number represents a percentage of the width. For example, if the width is 225, then 45% of that is equivalent to 255 multiplied by 40%. Consequently, the total diameter of both the front and back remains the same.

I hope the tyres are of good quality. The purchasing officer or dealer responsible for installing these low-quality tyres on a vehicle of this calibre should be subjected to public corporal punishment!

Yes, the tyres on the front of the vehicle are Pirrelli's. I will also want to get such items for the back.
Thank you for all of your responses, gentlemen.

The square shape of the tyres is acceptable, but I would not recommend using factory tyres. Even if you do not drive aggressively, the braking distance will be compromised and the tyres will perform poorly in wet conditions. I always prefer tyres with a high wet rating. You can check out camskill, as they currently have a cashback offer of £80 when you purchase four Michelin tyres. They have run this promotion in the past, which is why I bought four Michelin PS5 tyres that are still stored in my

I apologise for the inaccurate information provided previously. Contrary to my previous statement, the tyres on all four sides are really 225 in size. It seems that either the vehicle dealer or the previous owner has installed 225-sized tyres on 8.5J wheels. I find it astonishing that any respected tyre salesman would engage in such behaviour, and I am astounded that it is even permissible under the law.

Apologies for the query that may seem unintelligent, but is there an expedient method to determine the breadth of the wheels without removing them?

There is nothing problematic with that. I had a square tyre arrangement on an E46 330d, all Goodyear Eagle 225, etc. I purchased the tyres new but at a very low cost. I had bought them to be used on another vehicle I owned, namely a Ford Focus ST 225 MK2.However, I just replaced the tyres on my BMW. Although I anticipated no noticeable change, I had already researched the matter and knew that winter tyre setups for BMWs often include smaller tyres of the same size.

Based on a visual inspection, it is reasonable to conclude that you own staggered wheels.
Could you please verify whether the rear wheels exhibit a more concave shape towards the centre? The user did not provide any text. Place a linear object perpendicular to the surface of the wheel and measure the distance to the centre cap.
