Greetings everyone, I am currently experiencing difficulties with the functionality of my driver's window glass. Despite replacing the entire mechanism, the glass only ascends halfway before abruptly descending. It appears to be constrained, leading me to question whether I have excessively tightened the two adjustment screws located at the bottom of the glass. I would greatly appreciate any assistance or guidance on the appropriate method of tightening these screws.

I position the window fully upwards with the door open and raise the glass to its highest point. Then, I turn off the ignition and disconnect the battery after a 5-minute interval. This allows the system to enter a sleep mode, ensuring no harm is done to the car's unit. Subsequently, I adjust the glass to fit tightly at the top and align it with the door post. This is my preferred method of doing this task.

Are you referring to a miniature version? The glass can only be securely fastened from the bottom using two screws. According to the instructions I have read, the window should be set with the doors closed. To do this, raise the window to the top and hold the button down to set it. However, for some reason, my glass only goes halfway up before closing on its own.

Indeed, while discussing a miniature version of anything, I was referring to the information you have read. I have just explained the process of creating such miniatures.

To prevent the window from lowering when the door is opened, you may disconnect the battery while the window is at the top position. This allows you to adjust the window as needed. To easily reference the correct position, it is advisable to label the window before removing it.

I believe there is a misunderstanding about my statement on the window's behaviour. Specifically, I am referring to the window's inability to fully ascend to the top position after reaching the halfway point. I inquired whether anybody had encountered a similar issue when the car window stops halfway due to increased resistance, triggered by the perception of an obstruction. This phenomenon is a safety mechanism seen in some vehicles.

Therefore, I suggested pulling the window upwards by placing one hand on top of the window and the other on the switch. If the window just moves little, continue jolting it until it reaches the top. It is possible that once it reaches the top, it will function properly thereafter.

Understood, I will make an attempt at it. Thank you.

The windows on these vehicles occasionally do not automatically close once the battery is unplugged. However, after being manually pushed up a few times, they appear to recall their previous position and start functioning properly again. This problem might be related to the car's frm (footwell module), or it could be caused by excessively tight wires that put too much strain on the motor.
