My 2016 c350e has been parked on a driveway for a longer period of time than I would have like. When I attempted to initiate it, the device was completely unresponsive.
Upon jump-starting the vehicle, it began without any issues, accompanied by a notification on the dashboard indicating a malfunction with the auxiliary battery.
I did not anticipate that this would have an impact on the car's ability to start. However, my knowledge on the subject is limited.
Do you believe it is necessary for me to replace both the 12v battery and the auxiliary battery?
Thank you!
Does a failing Auxiliary battery prevent the vehicle from starting, or do I also require a 12v battery?

It is important to conduct tests on both batteries to determine their voltage levels when completely charged.
The manufacturing date of my C Class is September 2016, and it is not equipped with an auxiliary battery. Instead, it utilises a capacitor. Prior iterations did had a tangible battery. Can you ascertain the specific date of manufacture for your device?

In late February, I purchased a CLA35 from a Mercedes-Benz dealership. Upon visiting the DVLA tax site, I saw that the vehicle had not been taxed for many months. This led me to believe that it had been stationary someplace. When I went to inspect the vehicle, I found that the battery was depleted. The young salesperson assured me that he would resolve the issue. Upon receiving the automobile, everything seemed to be in order. However, on my journey back home, an error message indicating a fault with the auxiliary battery appeared on the dashboard. Additionally, I had previously seen that the 'hold' feature was not functioning properly. According to a brief online search, the 'hold' feature relies on the auxiliary battery.
I brought it to my nearby Mercedes dealer, who installed a new auxiliary battery and determined that the main battery also required replacement, so both were replaced.
According to my internet research, while the primary battery is losing its charge, it depends on the auxiliary battery. However, due to the dealer neglecting the vehicle for an extended period of time, the auxiliary battery also became non-functional.
Consider substituting the auxiliary one and evaluating the primary one.

The presence of a capacitor or battery in the model depends on the construction date. Models manufactured from September 2016 forward had a modest facelift and were equipped with a capacitor. Models built before September 2016, however, were equipped with a battery.

I just changed my primary battery due to difficulties with starting. The auxiliary battery, which is only used for the stop-start and hold feature, has been malfunctioning for the last three years. I do not see it necessary to have it operational because I consistently deactivate the stop-start function, as it is bothersome.

Hello, I own a 2013 c205 vehicle that is equipped with two batteries. To be honest, due to the age of the items, I personally changed them myself using batteries from GSF at pricing from a year ago. It only took me 15 minutes to complete the replacement.
Additionally, I replaced the auxiliary component, which I recall cost around £65-70 for a YUASA brand with a guarantee period of 2 years. Currently, I envision that you may acquire the pair for a price of £250 for a duration of half an hour, in order to equip the pair with a high-quality socket set.
