Is there a discernible difference in the driving experience between a Turbo and Turbo S?

Indeed it does. The basic rule of thumb is that for every 1lb increase in boost, there is a corresponding gain of 25 horsepower at the flywheel. In this case, we are considering real-world conditions. Therefore, an extra boost of either 3lb or 4lb would result in an increase of 75 or 100 horsepower respectively.

I own the 280 horsepower inline 6 favoured plus model equipped with 19-inch wheels. For typical daily driving, such as transporting children to school and travelling at speeds of 65 to 80 mph on the highway, the 280 horsepower is more than sufficient. Furthermore, the 19 inch wheels exhibit a higher degree of ride smoothness compared to the 21 inch wheels in terms of rigidity. The seating arrangements are really comfy. I have accumulated a total of 8300 miles, mostly via many extended journeys on the motorway. Extremely comfortable on extended journeys, I have not had any need for more power.
