My 2016 Active Tourer has significant condensation when the windscreen is frozen, which is unexpected for a BMW, but my wife's Corsa exhibits the same issue.
Do you have any suggestions for resolving this issue, or may it indicate an underlying problem, such as a poorly sealed screen?

Refrain from using recirculation, and the air conditioning is disabled; nevertheless, I may need to reconsider this. Concerning my travels, it is mostly in the mornings that the windscreen freezes before to departure, necessitating the scraping of ice, while the inside is replete with dampness.

Have you ever seen a puddle under the car during summer after the air conditioning has been utilised? This is the drier expelling moisture from inside the vehicle; it functions well in winter as well, and I never deactivate mine.

Precisely. My vehicle's system operates automatically at all times, except when the sunroof is open; I have no issues. Mrs. XWV has a 2016 AT similar to the OP and often expresses concerns about condensation. Although I have persuaded her to maintain the air conditioning continuously, she always refrains from directing it towards the windscreen until conditions deteriorate.

Would you say that is the correct setting, or should I turn the heat setting to the lowest, just as you do when the air conditioning is on?

I adjust the temperature to whatever feels comfortable for me in the moment. If it's set to auto, the car should maintain a clear distance quite effectively.
In situations where the misting is quite severe, like yours, I recommend using the Max option (top left button). Maintaining it on auto for the majority of the time helps prevent moisture accumulation, ensuring it doesn't deteriorate significantly from the outset.
