Access the battery connections of the BMW F40.

It is undoubtedly located in the engine compartment; I can barely see it, but it is rather difficult to reach. It seems that I must remove the plastic panel next to the wiper. Has anybody replaced the battery on an F40 or is aware of how to reach the positive terminal?

The battery is located on the tiny platform.
