Orlando Code 84

Greetings, I am seeking assistance from anybody who may be able to provide it. I own a 2012 Orlando LTZ 1988cc Diesel that consistently displays Code 84. I have taken it to local garages, where they can clear the code; nevertheless, it persists, and we are unable to identify the root cause of the defect. Given the absence of Chevrolet garages in the UK, I contacted Chevrolet in America via email to seek assistance. I contacted Vauxhall/Opel as instructed, but have received no answer. There is no Vauxhall dealership located within a 50-mile radius of my residence. Is there someone available to assist, please? Thank you

Code 84 on the dashboard serves just as a notification that an issue requires attention. Code 84 does not inherently specify the nature of the malfunction. It may simply indicate that it is due for maintenance or an oil change. Additional particular definite codes will be kept, and you (or your garage/mechanic) will need a diagnostic code reader capable of interpreting GM codes to ascertain the whole code(s). Certain code scanners need switching to the 'Trucks' option rather than 'Cars'. The Forum Advanced Search feature will provide prior talks on this subject.

I get your assertion; nevertheless, two distinct garages have examined my vehicle and have been unable to identify a flaw as you propose. They eliminate the code, nevertheless it reappears subsequently.

I can only reiterate my previous statement. Dash code 84 is only a general warning. Clearly, eliminating the code is not the answer. Something is occurring that is reactivating the 84 code. Locate a mechanic equipped with a code reader that can interpret GM 'secret' codes.

Greetings. Attempt to substitute the intercooler hose or hose clamp (GM 95939956).
Best of luck

Code 84 indicates the presence of water in the fuel filter. Replace fuel filter.

Thank you I will attempt that. No other solutions seem effective.

It was similar for us; I replaced the filter, however after refuelling at a petrol station, the issue reemerged. We purchased a litre of alcohol from the shop, put it into the tank, added diesel to the brim, and since then, the notice has not reappeared. The vehicle operates really well.

Blackvivaro, General Motors Fault Code 84 lacks specificity. This is only a 'Warning' indicating that something requires attention.
"Code 84 denotes a generic powertrain malfunction." Transport the vehicle to a competent technician for precise diagnosis, since the issue might range from a leaky hose to a malfunctioning sensor.

Concerning "code 84". This does not constitute a diagnostic problem code (DTC). The vehicle's Driver Information Centre (DIC) has shown a warning to the driver about a reduction in engine power. In addition to code 84, you may have another warning bulb flashing on your dashboard while operating the car. Is this accurate?
A consultation with a proficient garage to extract the error codes from the car's ECM (engine control module) will be the most effective method for addressing this issue and maybe averting future complications for your vehicle. Maintain communication with the Forum on this matter.
In your situation, I would once again reach out to a Vauxhall dealership for a resolution. Best of luck.
