Greetings to everyone,
I enquired if anybody had experienced this issue.
I own a 2015 ML63, and the heater only emits hot air into the cabin, irrespective of the temperature setting on the dial.
All input and advice are appreciated.
Thank you.

It may be attributed to many factors.
A malfunctioning temperature sensor in the cabin.
Defective duovalve
Defective control unit.
It is advisable to locate an individual possessing an OBD II code reader to ascertain whether any pertinent fault codes are present.

I thought I had responded to this before, but maybe I wrote it without submitting my reply!
I had a same issue with my E55K, and it was attributed to the Heater Control Valve. In contrast, mine was only emitting chilly air. The Heater Control Valve was replaced, resulting in optimal performance thereafter. I believe the seals deteriorate, allowing moisture to enter, which then causes the motor to cease functioning. Consequently, it becomes immobilised in a single state, allowing either heat, cold, or a moderate temperature to permeate.

I am relieved to confirm my sanity, although it seems there are two discussions on the same topic.

Indeed, the original poster contributed to two posts!
What is the rationale for include the caps as well?

I had this issue before with my 260E, which included rotary heating dials, and it was that component that had failed. Uncertain if your controls are fundamentally same or not.
