Greetings, everyone. The touchscreen on my 2015 KIA SPORTAGE 1.7 CRDi is unresponsive. The radio is operational; however, the touchscreen is inoperative. Could you provide any insights about the cause of this, please? Thank you.

Uncertain of the dimensions or kind of panel you own, however the majority of Kia displays I am familiar with often have a little reset button. This is often a minor aperture located around the bezel. Utilising a pencil, pen, or an unfolded paperclip, one may often tap the button to reset the screen.

Your manual may specify its location. The reset often does not compromise any user settings.

Best of luck.

Thank you for the prompt response.

The dimensions of the screen are uncertain. I apologise for not mentioning that I have attempted to reset it using the tiny button and by hitting the power button for about ten seconds. I am considering disconnecting the battery, but I am concerned about inadvertently causing other issues.

Apologies, but I have exhausted all possible possibilities. You may need to risk deleting some settings to resolve the issue.

Wishing you well in finding a resolution.

Attempt to disconnect the battery for ten minutes to see if it resolves the issue; reprogramming your radio may be necessary, but it should not result in any more complications. If it does not resolve the issue, you will need a replacement screen; a vehicle audio expert may be an appropriate first resource.

Thank you for the information. I have just noticed that if unplugging the battery does not resolve the problem, I will be unable to configure the radio, since I cannot input the PIN number required to activate it.
