Uncertain about the accessibility of the EGR solenoid? The EGR was disabled some time ago. The irregular idling started prior to my cleaning of the EGR valve. Can a defective solenoid continue to function despite the EGR being disabled? Uncertain whether access is possible with the manifold installed?

Simply detach the vacuum hose from the EGR valve and obstruct the hose.
