I am wondering if others have had a similar problem; my 2021 Kia E Niro has a state of "Plugged in" however fails to charge when connected to the ProjectEV home charger. I have disabled scheduled charging. AC and DC charging levels are established at 100.

Upon attempting to start charging with the Kia app, an error message indicating "Fail" appears. Unable to begin charging. Kindly verify the status of the car.

The charging cord is not the issue, since it works well at other public charging stations. The house charger seems to be functioning well, as other vehicles charge without problems.

The dealership believes it is a software problem but is unable to resolve it. Is there a method to manually initiate and terminate charging from the vehicle, rather than via the app? Additionally, do you have any recommendations for resolving the software issue? Thank you

You submitted the same problem twice in separate areas. As a new member, the T/C should be vividly recalled. Please review the stickies prior to posting in the appropriate area, as previously indicated.

The message "Not charging" is a standard notification shown when the device is connected but not receiving power. What version of the application? Recent or antiquated?

Does the charger own a dedicated application?
This seems to be a charger problem, since it should commence charging immediately.

Greetings,

Thank you for your response, and I apologize; I am attempting to ascertain how to remove the other topic.

The charger has an application for configuration and further settings; nevertheless, it is configured as "Plug and Charge," eliminating the need for manual initiation of the charging process. We successfully charged two other vehicles using it.

I have used both the Kia Connect and the new Kia App, and I have verified that the applications are updated to the current version.

I have successfully initiated charging after adjusting the charging limit to various levels and refreshing multiple times. This suggests that the issue lies with the app or vehicle, which erroneously perceives the charging limit as reached, even when it is at 20%. After several attempts, it eventually updates.

Deletion of threads is not permitted. Rest assured, it has been resolved.

Unusual behavior when charging. Question if the plug is not inserted enough. Is it difficult to insert the plug? If so, consider applying lubricant to the area where it fits.

The vehicle has charging configurations inside the infotainment system.
The application might be problematic if all the appropriate options have not been selected. Always use refresh beforehand.
