I apologise if this question has been previously posed or addressed, but I was unable to find any relevant results from my topic search.

Does the DTC button activate or deactivate "fun mode"?

The DTC (Dynamic Traction Control) button on a BMW enables the adjustment of the vehicle's stability and traction control parameters. A brief press of the button activates DTC, permitting increased wheelspin compared to the normal system, hence enhancing traction in low-grip conditions such as snow or mud. Pressing the button for several seconds completely deactivates traction and stability control (DSC), granting the driver total control, which is designed for usage exclusively in secure, regulated settings.

Thank you for the information!

All my searches yielded references to DSC rather than DTC, leading me to doubt whether they are the same feature.

It activates snow mode and engages "fun mode" based on the duration of the press.

Disables traction control, resulting in increased enjoyment in snowy conditions at the expense of safety.
