2002 W203 C220 CDI I have a substance resembling diesel, emitting an odour, boiling at the base of injector number two. No leaks detected in the fuel lines or return; all other injectors are functioning properly, and the injector is dry. There is neither the Black Death nor mist, only bubbling.

Any suggestions regarding what this indicates? I believed copper sealing would prevent the escape of burned gases.

I would recommend a copper seal. If it has only recently commenced, there will be no black death until the bubbling derv is heated to the head.

I have never observed bubbling without spitting; it typically produces a spitting sound reminiscent of Thomas the Tank Engine. Observe, "Oh, it is entirely black."It is scheduled for Saturday to address the seal, new bolt, and thread cleaning. I was apprehensive that the injector was malfunctioning, but I could not discern any issues. I attempted to download the video during its technical assessment.

The nozzle holder/retaining nut is fractured.

Could you perhaps provide more particular information or a picture? Thank you. Are you referring to the stretch bolt and clamp?
On Saturday, I will be replacing the copper seal.
