It has come to my understanding that the use of a Sim card is necessary for the operation of the Satellite Navigation (Sat Nav) system. However, the dealership has provided a quotation of £500 or more for the acquisition of such Sim card.
The price seems to be quite elevated, since many online stores are offering The Sims for a starting price of £40.
Can these items be used, or is it probable that they are just updates and need the implementation of a simulation for their functioning?
The internet shops seem to possess a commendable reputation.
Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with Android Auto. Could this be considered a feasible or superior alternative?

The availability of traffic notifications on the SD card has ceased. Currently, there is a need to enroll in a navigation subscription, which amounts to £139.00 an annum in my specific situation (pertaining to a C class w205 1966 audio 20). This alteration was implemented towards the end of the previous year. From my perspective, the value of this may be subjective, but it might potentially have value for some individuals.
