Updates are absent.

I apologise for revisiting this absurd topic regarding an otherwise outstanding vehicle. The organisation receives a perfect score of 10/10 for its future ambitions. However, are there any updates? Abysmal

My 2021 Ioniq 5, with 70,000 kilometres, has received the latest over-the-air upgrades and has been serviced at our local dealership three times for various issues, including a planned maintenance. I have requested the completion of the full dealer-only updates on each occasion. On each occasion, they have affirmed completion with "Yep."

However, I am still not receiving battery preconditioning, even when the DC charger is integrated into the navigation system. I still possess Winter Mode in the infotainment system.

I requested Hyundai to verify the update status; they advised me to consult the dealer, who confirmed it had been completed. I unequivocally disbelieve them.

Why is it so challenging to ascertain the completed updates?

It is a French Ioniq located in France. It frequently charged at 45kW in chilly conditions, indicating a lack of preconditioning.

Greetings,

Are you certain that your vehicle can accommodate the battery preconditioning update? To my understanding, not all early Ioniq 5 models may have that feature enabled.
Consider locating the service campaign update number(s) for the specific updates you wish to be implemented and providing them with a list, rather than requesting the application of all outstanding updates.

In the UK, you can utilise this service to verify any outstanding service programs for your vehicle. Home | Hyundai Recalls and Service Initiatives. I presume there exists a such service for France.
You may also attempt the UK option and search by VIN; I suspect this may be a global database. Please note that this database updates slowly. In my instance, it required several weeks for the upgrades made to my vehicle by a dealer to be reflected.
Another option is that the update supplied by Hyundai has simply expired, and you have missed your opportunity. Certain service initiatives have expiration dates.

I have observed the navigation feature. Some claim that the charger must be designated as a favourite. I have attempted everything.

I believed that the transition from Winter Mode to a functional preconditioning system was executed as a software upgrade. Executed by Hyundai, not by OTA.

The first issue I find perplexing is why we are attempting to interpret ambiguous signals rather than Hyundai providing a resource for its customers that offers a definitive solution. They undoubtedly know the distinction.

An OTA update incorporated energy use data for preconditioning (shown in green on the far right of the bar graph), and I have observed it utilising some kWh for cooling post-charge during the heat.

I am unable to achieve heating or preconditioning during winter while charging in DC.

If it resembles the E-GMP platform in my similarly aged EV6, then there is hardware that is not installed, cannot be retrofitted, and is expressly excluded from the early MY22 models. They did not assert that capability at the time, and the "Winter mode" is frustratingly merely a software toggle that is ineffective. My car is capable of receiving all software upgrades available, yet it remains nonfunctional.

I am indifferent; I have neither required it nor anticipated it. This differs from active cooling, which is indeed a crucial function and will certainly activate in high temperatures. The lack of differentiation in the graphics is somewhat exasperating.

Apologies, but I presume you share a similar predicament.

Hyundai in Esher agreed to perform the upgrade on my old P45 as a paid service for £200. They declined to honour the warranty since they were not the dealership who provided the vehicle. Hyundai UK reached an agreement with Hyundai Esher and declined to forgo the charge. I deemed it unworthy of my effort, hence I abstained from pursuing it.

The providing dealer, now defunct, attempted unsuccessfully to execute the whole update on several occasions; nevertheless, the multimedia unit remained current following their attempts, suggesting they had not thoroughly reviewed the comprehensive instructions (it is a two-stage update). 😃

This is what you should request:

BMU IMPROVEMENT - NE EV BATTERY

FUNCTION OF CONDITIONING AT LOW AMBIENT TEMPERATURE (BMS/VCU_2WD_4WD/AVN)

It updates the Vehicle Control Unit and Battery Management System.

The upgrade details are referenced by document number "HFE22-17-E080-NE."

The initial models of the Ioniq 5 lacked a conventional battery warmer (physical hardware). In the absence of this, no software update will provide battery pre-conditioning. The battery warmer with heat pump was included with the Eco Pack (or Winter Pack). If memory serves well, this package was featured in the "Ultimate" trim.

This is the second post today regarding this identical question and car combo. I regret to inform you that my ownership is accurate.

Reducing the state of charge to 10% following an extended drive will enhance speed in chilly conditions, albeit not significantly.
