Issues with M254

considering a 2022 W206 300e with 19,000 miles and an M254 engine.
Who thinks this is? Is there cause for concern? Countless horror stories involving M274 and M264 engines have been read by me!
It would be great to hear about someone's positive experience with this engine and its good mileage.

I thought I heard pistons snapping. Unfortunately, most of the posts were from the United States, and that didn't make me feel any better.

Also, it seems like there are problems with the cylinder heads. However, it appears that the recorded failures were only with the early production units, therefore by 2022, the issues had been resolved?

For five years and around 70,000 miles, I had no engine problems with my S204 and M274, with the exception of the common thermostat problem.

I suppose that only individuals who are troubled are driven enough to write about it, whereas happy consumers simply move on with their lives . I'm aiming to fall into the second category.

Assuming I continue to purchase oil, I may not have issues for some time at 19k miles, considering that we only do approximately 7,000 miles per year.

Keep the engine temperature at or slightly above 90 degrees Fahrenheit at all times. Because it requires extensive disassembly to replace, taking it to a main dealer would cost at least £1000.

Oh my goodness, is that just to change the thermostat?
By the way, is there a RealOEM for MB that works similarly to the one I used for my other German vehicle? Fantastic for parts n and observing the structure.
