Evening everyone,

the roof was unlocked, the windows were lowered
The speedometer's warning light became red.

A cursory forum search points to the "salmon relays" as a possible culprit.

1) Is this an issue that anyone else has encountered?
2) Is testing the relays possible?
Thirdly, how do the relays work? (After assuming one was for raising the roof and the other for lowering it, I switched them around without success.)

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

The hydraulic pump under the e93's boot floor has two relays that are technically called t and have pink and salmon colours.

UPDATE: Everything is now working again; I had to replace the two salmon relays (1263174269001).

BMW sells them for Β£19 apiece.
Quick task to swap out

Boot Options
Take the floor panel from the boot remove it.
Take the three 10 mm bolts off the "D-Shaped" plastic moulding.
You ought should be able to spot the hydraulic engine and pump.
Switch out both switches

The new relays are 21A, not 23A, so keep that in mind.
