The component number on the original has been verified and a used replacement is now being procured. The expectation is that it will not need coding. Is it necessary to detach the battery before plugging it in, or may I just plug it in without doing so? The user expresses gratitude for the assistance provided.

Simply verifying that the ignition is turned off should be sufficient prior to plugging it in. There is uncertainty about coding practises. According to WIS, the initialization of a new module is required using Star. However, it is anticipated that a previously used module would function without issues.
