I would advise avoiding the eBay vendor in question due to their unreliable and questionable updates.

Thank you for the guidance. I want to engage a "professional" coding service, however I am now seeking one located in the Cambridgeshire region, either via this forum or elsewhere. Ideally, the person doing the task will create an identical copy of my, allowing for a seamless restoration in case the update fails. Ste42 recommended acquiring a kosher BMW update at a cost of £79. However, it requires a Connected Drive membership, which I now lack.

I have not used Carly in quite some time, but I recall that it would create a backup file before to making any modifications.
I have never had much interest in that particular activity, and it tends to evoke fear in me.

Indeed, I had apprehension when implementing the transition from a speed limitation to cruise control utilising E-sys & Bimmer Utility.
I meticulously reviewed the coding processes 20 times, ensuring that each stage of the coding process became green. This brought me a sense of relief.

BMW refuses to update some electronic control units (ECUs) before or after maintenance due to unreliable coding. Specifically, they are referring to any coding that was not performed by their own technicians. I have come across many postings on Facebook. I will attempt to locate them.

Certainly, it will help me decide whether to use BMW or a skilled programmer with the appropriate equipment.
