This morning, the new lock was installed and the wiring leading into the trunk was inspected. There was no discernible impact. The most recent viewpoint is that the management system in charge of the central locking and smart locking has encountered a malfunction. I am curious whether this can be reprogrammed.

A potential software error may be responsible for delivering inaccurate signals, resulting in a momentary unlocking of the boot latch at startup. There is a possibility that a defective component, such as a circuit board or a sensor, is transmitting inaccurate signals.

Although you have already had the wiring inspected, it is possible that a more nuanced wiring problem might be responsible for sporadic faults that were not detected during the examination.Given that the lock has been changed, it is probable that the issue is in the central locking electronics. If you provide the specific year and model, it is feasible to reprogram the central locking system. However, I recommend verifying this possibility with Toyota service.

In my opinion I would recommend obtaining many quotations for this repair, since it may be rather costly.

Thank you once again for your ongoing attention. I have disabled and enabled the smart locking system, but this action has not resulted in any change. Therefore, I will attempt to get some price estimates. I reached out to the Toyota headquarters, but they sent me to the local primary dealer, thus completing the cycle.
