The uneven ticking becomes more noticeable when the air conditioner is turned on, and it slows down when turned off. Sending a link to a video I hear ticking here. Are there any concerns with the "issues" that AI seems to be causing, such as a stone or something ticking

Hello there! I would examine the serpentine belt, sometimes called the v-ribbed belt, more closely. Can you tell me when the last time it was changed?

That kind of noise could be caused by a worn or broken belt, but that's not the only possible explanation.

I had no clue that the UK car and mot shop regularly serviced it.

Alright, open the hood and check out the belt; it's on the driver's side, on the left side of the engine.Visually inspect the belt itself every 40,000 to 60,000 miles and replace it every 70,000 to 90,000 miles.

How many miles does the car have? Another thing to consider is enquiring with the repair shop about any record of belt changes.

Thanks for the suggestion; I'll investigate into 120k.

Listening to the video again, I can hear what you're saying, and it might be the bearings on a pulley.
