My 09 318d was just recalled for a new airbag, so I went to my neighbourhood BMW dealership and got it replaced two days ago.Ever since then, though, I can't seem to get my car started; it's as if I require a degree in quantum physics. Before the modification, I never had a problem of any kind. Has anyone else experienced this or heard of this? Thank you!

Can you tell me the problems you're facing?
Since changing the driver's air bag is essentially a simple removal and replacement job, I fail to understand how it may lead to starting problems.
The battery would have been removed, therefore it could be worth checking the terminal security.

If I were you, I'd either describe the problem or enrol in a university to learn quantum physics. Your automobile should have been OK once you changed the airbag.

Like I said before, the more specifics, the better.

I have made an appointment for the airbag recall so that I can have the airbags in my 2002 BMW 330i replaced out as well. "Do Not Drive: Safety Concern 4 Your Life" is the message that appears in my recall letter. So, it states that they will arrange for pickup and delivery, and if one is available, they may even provide me a loaner car to use while my cars are in the shop for repairs. Is anyone else familiar with the airbag recall and the services that were offered?
My second question is this: I have a 2002 BMW 330i and I'm using an HP laptop running Windows 11 with an OBDD2 to USB cable; is there a way to get the ISTA software that is compatible with this vehicle? Please, I am experiencing problems syncing my eWS with my dme/dde. Does anyone know why I keep getting the same error codes when running inpa?
3. In the event that I am unable to accomplish any of those actions, my final resort would be to perform an EWS delete. May I do this while the DME is still in the vehicle, or is it necessary to remove it? What exactly are the stages of that procedure?
Alternatively, is there an alternate, more convenient method of syncing my EWS to DM?

Never had that kind of service before, but I had to send my 2004 E46 in for two airbag recalls.
You may find the software download link on this page.
