Just paid for a repossessed car from Cushnahan Logistics...anyone heard of them?

A place for open-ended discussion on any car-related topic.

Hello everyone,

I know it's a little late, but has anyone here actually made a purchase from Cushnahan Logistics in Belfast? I've already paid

I purchased a 2021 Audi A4 Avant that was marketed as a financial repossession. They clarified that although they started out as a transportation and shipping company, they now deal with cars that have been recovered by financial companies and purchased at auction

They informed me it will take around a week for delivery, and I'm in Norwich

The pricing was reasonable it wasn't absurdly low, but it was sufficiently less than dealer prices to cause me to second-guess everything after sending the money

Cheers

I bought a 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid privately from a guy outside Belfast earlier this year and Cushnahan Logistics did the transaction/delivery side. But whatever I or anybody else says here, buying from afar always entails greater risk than being next to the vehicle personally

Also, don't depend just on reviews. I'd like to know who is truly selling the vehicle, and whether you can physically inspect the vehicle if you want to

I did ask about viewing before paying, they said I could come to Belfast, inspect it and have a test drive by appointment

Did you independently verify the bank details before paying? Not trying to worry you, genuine question.

Yes, they used a segregated business account from another company that hold the funds till the transaction is completed, I also spoke with them on the phone separately and checked the paperwork/details I'd been sent.

When I purchased my 2022 Cupra Formentor, I really went to their Belfast yard. I made an appointment and took a morning flight because I had previously informed them that I was not going to purchase a car without seeing it.
I thoroughly inspected it, looked over the documentation and service records, then drove it for a little drive.
One alloy had a tiny scratch that wasn't very noticeable in the advertisement, but other from that, everything was just as stated.
I drove it away personally and paid after seeing it.

That's how I'd buy one. At least you know the car actually exists before transferring thousands 😂
