Greetings. In the present day, I have seen a malfunction in the functionality of my vehicle's horn. The ECU was subjected to a diagnostic scan using the Foxwell VAG Scanner, which detected a persistent fault (00576 - Terminal 15 008 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent). Despite examining the fuses, no apparent issues were seen. Does anybody possess knowledge about the optimal location to commence excavation? How can one determine the underlying cause of the issue?

All other components are functioning properly, with the exception of the horn.

It is possible that a defective slip ring may be the cause, however I lack the expertise to identify it beyond a complete failure resulting in the loss of all wheel controls.

Upon reconnecting the VAG COM, I proceeded to assess the functionality of the horn inside the diagnostic module. It was successfully activated via the VAG COM, leading me to infer that there may be an issue with the steering wheel components. I want to dismantle the wheel tomorrow. Could you kindly provide me with guidance about the specific aspects I should pay attention to throughout the disassembly process?

I dismantled the airbag apparatus, inspected the wiring, and saw that all components seemed to be in satisfactory condition. The functionality of Relay seems to be satisfactory, as shown by the audible click that is produced when the horn is engaged via the use of VAG COM. Has anybody else had a similar issue?

I am experiencing the same issue. How was the issue resolved? In the VCDS software, where specific location did you go to in order to do a horn test? I am unable to locate it.

I am disinclined to see an amiable motor vehicle inspector just due to a malfunctioning horn.

The horn of my 2018 RS5 cat is not functioning properly. However, when I activate the horn via the onboard diagnostic system (ODS), it operates well.
