The Q5 I own is eight years old. With only nearly 14,000 miles under its belt, it's been on plenty of short trips. From what I've read, deteriorating batteries can lead to electrical issues, but I've never experienced any (clear) issues with the battery itself. Can I get a new battery and have it serviced at the same time? It's due next week. I just want to make sure the car is in good repair and not worried about the price.

The eight years are excellent, and there's no reason you couldn't get two more. If money isn't an issue, then swap out like-for-like batteries because they tend to let you down when you least expect it. Upcoming annual general meeting. The vehicle must also be coded.

You can check the voltage with a multimeter, but that won't tell you anything about its health when under load. In any case, that's my two cents.

It is long past time to replace a battery that is eight years old. If I were in your position, I would renew it without thinking twice. Yes, as previously mentioned, it must be coded to the vehicle.

Whose brand was it that you ordered?

Oops, I just saw this now. No specific battery was ordered by me. A Yuasa AGM Start Stop Plus was put into the garage.
