I am aware that foggy headlights may be restored, but I am curious whether the same restorative process is applicable to fog lamps as well.

There is no inherent detriment in using the same methodology to ascertain the outcome.

I am uncertain about the potential negative consequences of altering the fog lights, hence I am curious whether there exists any prior experimentation or experience in this regard. It is presumed that contemporary iterations of the aforementioned objects are composed of plastic materials.

It is recommended to first use a mild abrasive compound, such as AG paint restorer, as a potential solution. I used a little of this solution onto the discolored plastic headlights of my son's Micra vehicle, resulting in a quite satisfactory outcome. The cleaning process included the use of a microfiber cloth and manual effort.
If the observed improvement in discoloration is evident, it may be inferred that the proposed solution is effective.

I possess a headlight cleaning solution in my possession and want to do a patch test to evaluate its efficacy.

The headlights should be identical to the other lights in terms of material composition, since they are also made of plastic. Are you referring about the front or back fog lights?

I used a dual-action polisher in conjunction with a mild abrasive compound, resulting in the restoration of the surfaces to a pristine condition.

I do not own a dedicated dual-action polisher; but, I do possess a drill attachment that may serve as a potential substitute. I am contemplating attempting to use this alternative method. I am inquiring regarding the viability of my previously purchased lens cleaning equipment, which was acquired around six years ago, and if it is suitable for use at present.
