Greetings, everyone.
I am a recent member of this community and have just acquired my first Mercedes vehicle, namely a 2011 GL350. I am really pleased with this purchase. Upon further observation, it has come to my attention that there are fissures in the vicinity of the rear polycarbonate panoramic roof. Is there any knowledge on the possibility of their replacement? Although they do not extend fully, it is imperative that I address this issue prior to their entire failure or the inundation of the vehicle like to a fish tank.

Additionally, I have contemplated the possibility of using a vinyl wrap with a window film to ensure its watertight integrity. Any assistance would be much appreciated, especially if you have encountered or experienced similar situation before.
Greetings

I regret to inform you that I am unable to provide precise assistance regarding your inquiry. However, I just seen a recent video by Shmee150 in which he toured the garage of another YouTuber known as "JR Garage" or a similar name. During the tour, it was observed that the Fisker Karma in their possession had a solar panel roof with fractured glass. The individuals followed your recommendation and used the usage of a protective polymer film (PPF) in order to mitigate the infiltration of water and obscure the visible fissures.

Thank you for generously providing this information.
The current method seems to be cost-effective, at least in the present context. I am uncertain about the precise cost of a new roof, but I would venture to suggest that it would likely be a substantial expense.

What is your evaluation of the GL350? The potential transition to a similar age of GL and using the same engine may be a prospective course of action for me in the future. I am quite meticulous when it comes to specifications; nonetheless, I have seen a scarcity of available options that align with my desired criteria.

This statement reflects a contemplative idea. Is the automobile owned by the original poster (OP) potentially affected by the sunroof safety recall?

I am really enjoying it so far. I acquired the item on Wednesday and am very satisfied, except for the issue with the roof. The quality of entertainment provided in the back is exceptional. In my opinion, the inside quality and overall finish of the vehicle are far superior than that of the Land Rover Discovery 4 from which I transitioned.

Today, I received a notice about the recall of the sunroof on my 2005 vehicle. The temporal scope of the subject matter may extend to the contemporary age. I possess the capability to get the appropriate citation for your reference, and should you contact any authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership with your unique chassis number, they will provide guidance and information.

Please upload some photographs. Could you please provide a description of your color and specifications? What is your evaluation of the driving experience of the GL350?

I have had the opportunity to operate a 2011 GL450 vehicle, and although it did not exhibit exceptional acceleration, it did provide a pleasant and spacious driving experience reminiscent of a large, comfortable bus.

I will upload some photographs as soon as it becomes feasible. I have not yet comprehended any of the material. The vehicle in question has several features, albeit it lacks the inclusion of heated back seats. The driving experience is satisfactory, however it does not possess exceptional qualities, which is understandable considering its substantial weight, comparable to that of a small island. The vehicle is equipped with the AMG pack, which includes arch extensions and 21-inch 5 spoke alloys.Regarding the aspect of color, my first perception was that it has a gray hue; nonetheless, it is officially categorized as silver. The color in question is believed to be Palladium Silver. The driving experience is really satisfactory, and despite its large size, the vehicle's handling is rather comfortable. One feature that I find lacking but would much like is the inclusion of a reverse camera. I would want to inquire about the possibility of obtaining a retrofitted version.
