Greetings, everyone.
I would like to extend my apologies in advance if the length of my post exceeds the desired limit or if its content is seen as uninteresting in any manner.
On the first day of the previous week, I had a 3-year service, Mazda Infotainment update, and safety recall inspection at the Mazda Dealer in my vicinity for my 2016 CX-5, which had accumulated 35,000 miles. The whole outcome was satisfactory, prompting me to get a service plan from the aforementioned dealer. After a span of two days, my spouse contacted me to inform me that the vehicle had ceased to function entirely. She had taken the initiative to coordinate with the maintenance department of her employer to dispatch a mechanic. Upon inspecting the engine compartment, the mechanic promptly identified the issue, remarking, "Here lies the source of your predicament." Specifically, the negative battery connection was found to be inadequately secured, and upon further examination, it was discovered that the positive cover was also loosely attached. The user successfully secured both connections, resulting in the resolution of the issue.
I reached out to the dealership, and they provided assurance that the battery connections were not manipulated during the repair. Furthermore, they said that the inspection of these connections would only occur in the event of a starting problem with the vehicle. The dealership attributed the occurrence of the loose connections to mere coincidence, unrelated to the service provided. The automobile was purchased in February of the current year and has been trouble-free until the present moment. It is quite implausible to propose that the occurrence of both connections being loose subsequent to the service was just coincidental.
Following the completion of the service, my spouse expressed that the panel and Ifo system lights exhibited a significant decrease in brightness, suggesting a reversion to their original factory settings. I inferred that this occurrence was likely a result of the recent upgrade, prompting me to reset the aforementioned settings. I became aware of the malfunctioning auto windows on Friday and consulted the manual, which indicated that if the battery had been disconnected, the auto windows would need to be initialized. Upon discussing this with my wife, she revealed that she had experienced the same issue on Monday evening following the service, suggesting that the battery had indeed been disconnected during that time.
Hence, my inquiry may be divided into two parts: 1: Has anyone encountered instances where their terminal connections have become dislodged? Personally, despite my extensive experience driving various vehicles for over five decades, I have never encountered such an occurrence. 2: I would greatly appreciate any recommendations regarding the appropriate steps to take in response to this situation. The potential ramifications of operating a vehicle under such circumstances are numerous, with the most severe being the possibility of igniting a fire.
I express my gratitude in advance for any forthcoming answer.

I have a recollection from years ago when I was informed that an associate of my father had taken his vehicle to a garage for maintenance. Unexpectedly, he arrived at the garage only to discover that the engine was being halted, likely due to its worn-out condition. It is difficult to establish post facto evidence using a battery, and I really hope that such an incident has not occurred. If the establishment in question were a Mazda garage, I would consider lodging a complaint with Mazda UK.

It is perplexing to consider the rationale behind their decision to not acknowledge the act of detaching the battery, particularly while doing a routine servicing. Had they acknowledged their mistake, a simple apology would have sufficed to resolve the issue from my perspective.

According to a source I came across, it has been suggested that the removal of the battery is necessary in order to facilitate the replacement of the fuel filter on diesel engines. It is possible that you have acquired a new filter; nonetheless, this does not provide a satisfactory explanation for their potential deceit.

really, your assistance has been invaluable. Upon careful examination, it has been determined that the removal of the battery is really necessary in order to replace the gasoline filter. This revelation has caused much distress, as it has become evident that the individuals in question have deliberately provided false information. To describe that I am very angry would be an inadequate expression of my current emotional condition. I would want to express my sincere gratitude once again for your assistance.

I am delighted to inform that the Managing Director of the Dealership contacted me and verified the accuracy of the concerns I had raised. I graciously accepted his apologies and the offer of a free service in the next year.
This observation underscores the need of not passively tolerating subpar service and inadequate customer support from any organization, regardless of its size or stature.
I would want to express my gratitude to everyone of you for your valuable feedback.
