Greetings

Does anybody have any options headquartered in the UK?

The lacquer coating on my mirrors is deteriorating.

The side blades exhibit partial opacity and show signs of carbon fibre degradation at the upper sections and edges in some areas.

Thank you for any comments or ideas.

What is your current location in the United Kingdom?

The specific kind of matte lacquer used in the manufacture is Glasurit 923-55.

Thank you for the information.

I am now located in Salisbury. Are you acquainted with any individuals or establishments in England who specialise in refurbishing or relacquering using Glasurit 923-55?

It is possible that Ricky from REPerformance in Swindon may provide assistance. Expert in R8.

I inquired with him, and it was not an action he performed at that particular moment.

Locate a road cycling shop with expertise in repairing carbon fibre frames on bicycles. They should possess the requisite proficiency in carbon fibre restoration.

I am acquainted with some individuals with expertise in the field of carbon manipulation, often referred to as wizards, located in the United Kingdom, namely in the region of Essex. Instruct them to sand the surface and then apply a new coat of matte lacquer. Consider procuring authentic lacquer R8-Stuff as indicated above.

Inform me if you want to be acquainted with the specifics.

The surface consists of a transparent lacquer layer applied over a base material. Any proficient auto repair facility should be capable of resolving this issue for you. The only action they will do is to abrade the lacquer and thereafter reapply it. This procedure is identical to that of painting any other panel. Over the years, I have had many carbon components refurbished in this manner.

If the carbon weave itself is destroyed, the situation would be different. However, if just the clearcoat is affected, it can be easily repaired.
