To the team,
Recently, I acquired a W210- E240(2.6-V6) vehicle which has been functioning well. However, I have observed that when the car reaches a temperature of around 80 degrees on the temperature gauge, if I press the accelerator pedal fully, the engine light illuminates and the engine runs unevenly.
If I slightly depress the accelerator pedal, the engine runs unevenly.
However, when I leave it turned off for a few hours and then put it back on, it starts up without any issues and the engine light does not illuminate.
I own two diagnostic testers, but none of them indicates any faults. I speculated that the issue may be with the HT leads.

iSoft is a comprehensive system that encompasses all aspects.
May I get assistance from someone?
I appreciate your gratitude.

If the arrangement use drive-by-wire technology, a potential issue may arise with the pedal position sensor. The TC solenoids may potentially be a potential issue. You will be required to peruse codes.

Thank you, David_Smith2003. Which diagnostic tool is the most effective for diagnosing issues with my W210 E240?

I anticipate compatibility with any device capable of interpreting codes via the 38 pin connection. In my opinion, icarsoft offers a scan tool that is priced competitively. However, I suggest visiting their website first to verify its compatibility.

Thank you for your response. I have noticed that my vehicle has two diagnostic ports, namely the 38-pin port and the OBD port located beneath the steering wheel. I am curious to know the reason for this configuration.

The issue seems to be a defective air mass sensor. Only purchase an original MB or Bosch one.

Is it possible to clean the air mass sensor?Additionally, while I am stationary at traffic lights and apply pressure to the brake pedal, I notice a shaking or vibrating sensation due to the chilly temperature. However, after around 30 minutes, the issue resolves itself. Do you have any insights on the potential cause of this phenomenon?
Furthermore, when opening the fuel cap, I notice a noticeable increase in pressure, as shown by the audible sound. Do you have any suggestions on how to rectify this issue?

It is advisable to use MB star diagnostics to get a precise list of defects for the automobile, since there may be many issues present. You may attempt to cleanse them with electrical cleaner, but often their functionality is binary, either operational or non-operational. As previously mentioned, it is essential to only choose for authentic MB or Bosch original components in order to ensure proper functionality.

While it is possible to cleanse them, it will not serve as a sustainable remedy.
The code you will get pertains to self-adaptation. Obtaining a certain "air mass" code is uncommon. Instead of attaching components hastily. Arrange for a diagnostic assessment to be conducted on a Star vehicle by an individual who has expertise in 210 models and the 112 engine. It will result in cost and time savings.
