A few weeks ago, I tried to replace the battery. After doing so, a fuel pump warning light appeared, and the vehicle entered an extremely restricted performance mode, limiting the engine speed to 2,000 revolutions per minute and the speed to 10-15 miles per hour.
The technician discovered that the VVT motor was damaged, replaced it, but the issue persisted. He believes there is a short circuit preventing the new VVT motor from functioning correctly.
Does anybody have any suggestions or insights? The technician has inspected some wires and fuses in the engine compartment.
It is becoming very expensive.

Have you attempted the magic reset and disconnected the battery for at least 20 minutes?

The information provided is too ambiguous to make any comments on the reasons. The VVT motor is damaged, providing limited information.
Which codes are being extracted from it?
It requires thorough diagnostics conducted by a knowledgeable individual.

The mechanic initially sent me this information: a new VVT motor has been installed, but the issue persists. When I tried to change the battery, a fuel pump warning light appeared. Although I can't recall the exact code, I remember it indicated the fuel pump was failing. This issue was not present before. Strangely, this warning does not appear on the diagnostic tool.

There is a certain protocol for disconnecting and reconnecting a vehicle battery, which is worth considering. Although I am not very experienced with automobiles, I have heard about this process.

Require inspection of the e box for the presence of a fuse related to valvetronic, and maybe a relay as well.
