Greetings, I have encountered a situation where my sensor has malfunctioned, resulting in a lack of a reliable gauge and code read for the coolant temperature sensor. Upon conducting a component search, I have determined that I own the threaded sensor rather than the push fit. I am curious about the location of the push fit, as I have come across several photographs depicting it on a metal therm housing. I would want to have certainty prior to dismantling it.

The first W204 C220 CDIs are equipped with the OM646 engine, whereas the subsequent W204s are equipped with the OM651 engine.

The specification sheet or the V5 will have the information.

The V5 and spec sheet include a total of 651.

For anybody else experiencing this problem, you may see a loss of gauge and sporadic activation of a high-speed fan.
You have the option to purchase either the individual temperature sensor or the whole housing. Disregard the additional switch located on the top of your plastic thermostat housing. This switch serves to inform the ECU about whether the thermostat is closed or open.
The part number for a on651911 engine has been replaced by A651200615 and is now A6512002800.
