Malfunctioning Steering Wheel Controls

I own a 2006 Mercedes A Class Auto 3-door Avantgarde with a 1.5 litre petrol engine, model W169. It remained seated for a time. Resumed the activity. The battery is in fantastic condition. I have just replaced the brakes and performed a comprehensive repair on my vehicle. The vehicle's performance is satisfactory, but, the indicators, horn, and full beam are non-functional. My technician is unable to reset the service light since the other steering controls are also not functioning. The indicators function properly when the danger lights are activated. Peculiar.

Could someone provide clarification on this matter (excuse the wordplay, haha). Is it possible that there is an issue with the control module? Assistance in any kind would be very appreciated. Thank you.

An assessment of Star would be beneficial in determining if a certain module is responsible for the issue. 👍

There is a possibility that the clock spring is damaged.

I had the same thinking, but typically, would the presence of this defect also trigger an Airbag warning light?

It is logical to assume that the airbag is solely linked via the clock spring connection, if I recall correctly. However, it should be noted that he did not explicitly mention the absence of an airbag light. Nevertheless, it would be worthwhile to investigate more.

Greetings, gentlemen. I am grateful for all the responses. There is no indication of an airbag warning light being shown.

Is it possible that the relay module is the cause?

Have you examined this original post? I would also venture to speculate that this is the cause.

Thank you. I will investigate it. Is it possible for this to be the cause even if the airbag light is not illuminated?

Alternatively, might it maybe be the ignition relay?
