Good Afternoon
I really am pulling my hair out (not that I had much in the first place).
I bought a 70 plate Kia xCeed in February of this year and had a number of issues that were rectified with not a very helpful service department.
After a few weeks of purchase the infotainment system has started to 'play up'.
It skips from channel to channel, beeps continuously and I can't manually turn it off with the on/off button. Also none of the selection keys work.
I went to another main dealer to seek advice and they wanted £150 to carry out a diagnostic check telling me that if it shows the unit is faulty then a replacement would cost "thousands".
Can anyone suggest how I can resolve this problem please 🙏
Thanks in anticipation

Good day to you too. Have you attempted to reset the Infotainment system by putting a pin or pencil into the reset hole located near the volume button? This is a "soft" reset, which means that you will not lose any data or other information.

I have attempted this, but it has yielded no results. Thank you for your assistance, but it was not successful.

I would also recommend ensuring that the head unit has the latest software installed.

Contains all the necessary guidance, however if you have difficulties, just make a post in that forum.

In addition, the head unit only comes with a guarantee period of three years. Exclusion applies.

I will examine it. Thank you. I am quite frustrated to see that the car I purchased only comes with a 3-year warranty. The salesman informed me that there is a 7-year guarantee, excluding items such as brake pads that are subject to normal wear and tear.

Upon inspection, I saw that it indicates a Navigation update. Would this upgrade include the whole device, including media and radio functionalities? Please.

Could you perhaps clarify what you mean by "beeps continuously"? Perform a factory reset.

The major focus is on the maps. However, frequent updates are made to other features.
The answer to your question is contingent upon the age of your programme.

Greetings, the inside of my 2018 sporty vehicle has had delamination. Unfortunately, this occurred after the warranty period had expired. I reached out to Kia UK via email, and they advised me to contact the primary dealer, provide photographic evidence of the issue, and forward it to them. Kia subsequently responded by offering to repair the item at no cost, despite it being 5 years old.
