Greetings, I am the owner of a 2023 BMW X1. While driving in town, I saw the emission of white smoke from my vehicle's exhaust. This occurrence occurred for a brief duration of around 2 seconds before ceasing. Subsequently, I continued to drive for an additional distance of approximately 50 miles, during which the same phenomenon recurred. I am seeking assistance in identifying the potential cause of this issue. Any insights would be much appreciated.

The year is 2013, not 2023.

In order for someone to make an informed estimate on the likely cause, it is necessary for you to provide further information about the engine, mileage, and other relevant factors.v

What is the quantity of white smoke being emitted, and have there been any noticeable decreases in fluid levels, particularly coolant?

Although there is no decrease in fuel levels, there is a significant amount of smoke emitted, although for a brief duration. However, this issue only recurs after many days of driving.

Is it possible that the issue is connected to regeneration? Do you often engage in a significant number of short trips with the vehicle?
