I am perplexed by the fact that this YouTuber was aware that his finger might be injured, but proceeded to engage in the activity nevertheless. What is the reason? Regarding the concept of 'likes'?

Other automobile manufacturers have safety cutouts that automatically reverse the halting procedure. For instance, to ensure the safety of a child's hand and prevent any potential injuries.

This concern, which has some merit, was previously raised many months ago after the commencement of Cybertruck deliveries. However, the act of purposefully recording oneself inflicting harm onto one's finger and sharing it on YouTube is very perplexing.
