I have received a dashboard problem notice indicating that the brake light has failed, as well as the right-hand tail light and subsequently the left-hand tail light.

The rear LED light exhibits intermittent flickering, with the right-hand light flickering more often than the left. Additionally, the right-hand light sometimes experiences complete loss of illumination.

After extensive research on the issue, I have determined that the problem is either caused by water or a malfunction in the tail light units, or it might be due to a faulty rear SAM unit. The weather conditions here have been unusually rainy.

I have removed one of the tail light units from the vehicle and upon inspection, it seems to be in satisfactory condition. Although it is not completely dry, it is not moist either. Tomorrow morning, the second one will be removed for the same procedure.

Based on my limited experience, it seems to be a case of a weak or unreliable connection. However, at what location?

Is it advisable to link it to a Star unit for diagnostic purposes?

There is a high probability that the problem is related to the SAM (Security Account Manager). Connecting it to a power source may assist in identifying this issue. The SAM module is located within the oddments compartment, which is situated behind the driver's seat. There is a removable flap that allows access to it.

Latest information I have used a STAR diagnostic computer to examine the issue, and no error codes have been detected. However, the computer does indicate that there are faulty bulbs in the tail light clusters.

The individual I employ has exceptional intelligence and, when thoroughly investigating his computer, he believes that the issue lies with the grounding, maybe affecting the LED strip in particular.
